Delhi government to open Sanskrit library to explore the language

Delhi government is to establish a library, which will be completely dedicated to Sanskrit, and it will be helpful for the persons and scholars who have been interested in Sanskrit languages and creation of the book in the same languages. Prof. Walia said in this regards that the Govt. will soon establish the library of all types of Sanskrit literature for the benefit of Sanskrit scholars, students and teachers in the capital.

She said that Govt. has sanctioned Rs.2.40 crores for establishment and set up of the library. It will be provided with ancient Sanskrit literature such as Vedas, Upnishads, Samhitas and other wonderful and rare creation of Sanskrit scholars.

She said that all Gurukuls in Delhi will be provided with the facility of computers for the benefit of Sanskrit students and teachers (Gurus) in Gurukuls.

Prof. Walia said that the Govt. will organize a Rashtriya Sanskrit Sammelan in the month of August wherein Sanskrit scholars from the universities, institutions and literary field will be invited for interaction apart from organizing National level conference of Sanskrit scholars every year.

Prof. Walia said that Sanskrit language is such a rich language that it has its roots in all the Indian languages. In other words, it is the link language of India, which tells about rich Indian ancient history, art, culture, civilization and ethos. This language should be promoted and developed in such a manner that it could generate employment also. She said that Sanskrit language should be linked with the employment only then the youngster will gladly accept it for their future career.
