Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has said that students of Delhi University are competent enough to grab the best opportunities anywhere. Eminent personalities have been associated with Delhi University. It is for the first time that the students union has taken care of the future needs of the passed out students. She said during the inauguration the first ever job fair in Delhi University.
On the occasion, Dikshit underlined the need of skill development and stated that her Government would soon open admission in its world class skill development institute being set up at Jaunapur in association with Government of Singapore. Initially the institute would function from a college in Trans Yamuna area.
Dikshit stated that the students of the University are Smt. Dikshit expressed confidence that large number of students would be able to get employment through this job fair. Dikshit stated that the four year degree course is getting good response from the students. The innovations have been opening the new paths for advancement and progress of the students.
Speaking on this occasion Dr. Yoganand Shastri stated that the DUSU must be complemented for its pioneering effort in bringing large number of employers at one place. The employers are looking for the talent whereas the passed out students are looking for the best available opportunities to serve in established companies.
The fair would definitely help in fulfilling the needs of both the parties. Dr. Shastri also referred to the overall developmental taken place during last one and half decade. He is stated that the pace of development has made Delhi to match any City of international standard. Prof. Dinesh Singh also appreciated the step taken by the DUSU.
