Indian Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal Saturday refused to have any connection between his nephew V Singla, who was caught for allegedly taking bribe of Rs.90-lakh for fixing a top level position in the government, and himself.

“I have no business relation with him nor I have any financial transaction,” said Union Railway Minister on responding to media over the arrest of his nephew V Singla, who was caught by CBI in Chandigarh on Friday.

According to a news agency, CBI Friday night booked Singla and three others including one railway officer in a bribery case.

According to news agency, an anonymous CBI official informed it that Mahesh Kumar, a railway official, and three others identified as Vijay Singla, Sandeep Goel and Manjunath were booked for bribery. Mahesh Kumar had given Rs.90 lakh to the three to ensure his promotion. The money has been seized.

Meanwhile, searches were on Singla's house in Chandigarh, said sources.
