Cannes welcomes Bollywood and Indian Movies

The 66th Cannes Film Festival that is to be held from May 15-26, will see the colours of Indian cinema with some of the sensual Bollywood movies to be screened during the festival. The film festival is celebrating the 100 years of Indian Cinema and will screen four Indian films including Bombay Talkies, Ugly, Monsoon Shootout and The Lunchbox.

Moreover, actress Vidya Balan has been chosen to be member of the jury panel of the 66th edition of Cannes film festival, who will share the seat with big names like Naomi Kawase, British scriptwriter-director-producer Lynne Ramsay, French actor-director Daniel Auteuil, Romanian scriptwriter-director-producer Cristian Mungiu and Austrian actor Christopher Waltz.

Monsoon Shortcut, co-produced by Anurag Kashyap, will be screened for the Cannes Critics Week and midnight screening sections, while his Ugly will be featured in the Directors' Fortnight. In addition to that, Bombay Talkies has been selected for gala screenings.
