Hundreds of children chanting slogans and holding placards highlighted the need for education and the right of every child to get quality education.
Opening the ceremony Dr. Tajuddin Ansari (Coordinator for OBCs, National commission for scheduled castes) who inaugurated the programme stressed the importance of education giving specific focus on girls from the marginalised communities.
OMA Salam General Secretary said that its duty for people in ensuring proper education to every child in our country. This should happen without the barrier of economic status, gender or religious classifications. For supporting the cause of poor and marginalised children from the rural side, Popular Front of India is distributing 100000 school kits during this campaign this year he said.
Noted writer and vice president, All India educational movement, Mansoor Aga congratulated Popular Front of India for taking up such a campaign and wished all the success. Popular Front of India is conducting school chalo campaign for last many years with different types of interventions in primary education.
These include educational survey, awareness campaigns, re- enrolment program for drop outs and school kit distribution.
