Micro blogging giant Twitter has released a new music service, which will allow the users play songs directly using Radio, Spotify and iTunes.
In addition to that, the application will also allow the users hear previews of songs, log in to streaming services and 'detect and surface' the most-discussed music and musicians on the Twitter site.
The songs on Twitter #music comes from iTunes or the streaming websites presently. However, the micro blogging site has left the option to add other music service providers in the future, Fox News reports.
Stephen Philips, founder of the music service 'We Are Hunted', which has been recently acquired by Twitter said beyond playing tunes, exploring the music that others are talking about is the service's big focus.
The Twitter #music app is available from the Apple App Store from today, and a web version is online at music.twitter.com.
An Android version is in the works as well, the company said.
