Panasonic on Monday launched two of its new ruggedized tablet: Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 and Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 in India. Both the Panasonic tablets are based on company's TSA (Total Shock Absorbing) design and are dust and water-resistant.
With the basic features they have, Panasonic has labeled them very expensive.
While Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 is based on Windows 8, Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 will operate on Android OS.
Following are the features of Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1:
Toughpad FZ-G1 sports a 10.1-inch WUXGA multi-touch screen that offers support for 10-finger. HD display has a resolution support of 1920x1200 pixels.
Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 operates on latest Windows 8 Pro 64-bit operating system. But users will have an option of downgrading it to Windows 7.
It generates its power from a third-generation 2.9Ghz Intel Core i5 processor, Intel HD Graphics 4000 UMA and 4GB RAM.
Toughpad FZ-G1 is available in 4G LTE or 3G variant. The tablet has 128GB Solid State Disk (SSD) and comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology.
This tablet is weather, dust and water-resistant and can survive a 4 feet drop.
Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 is priced at Rs 1,75,000.
Following are the features of Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1:
Toughpad JT-B1 has a 7-inch display that has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 operates on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It runs on a older version of Android and the company is not providing the upgrading option as well.
It generates its power from 1.5GHz Texas Instruments OMAP4460 processor and has 1GB RAM.
The tablet comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology. It has 16GB internal memory that can be expanded to 32GB via a micro SD card slot.
Toughpad JT-B1 is available with an optional 3G variant as well. This tablet is water and dust resistant and can survive a five feet drop.
Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 runs on a 5720mAh battery.
Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 is priced at Rs 69,000 (plus taxes).
