No we won't be talking about Aamir Khan's perfectionism, it's just a tribute to sheer genius who is celebrating his celebrating his 48th Birthday today.

Family of Aamir Khan has been in and around the film industry. His father, Tahir Hussain was a film producer, his uncle Nasir Hussain was a producer, director and actor and now his nephew Imran khan is in business.

Aamir started his career as a young kid with superhit film Yaadon Ki Baarat and then made appearance in one other movie Holi before coming to limelight as the chocolaty boy in Qayamat se Qayamat Tak. The film was a massive hit and Aamir became the new crush of every Indian girl.

Then came Dil with Madhuri, the pair was a hit, one was the heartbeat of females and the other was the queen of every male heart. Undoubtedly, Dil was the highest grossing film of that year. He stamped his chocolaty hero status with films like Afsana Pyaar Ka and Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi.

He paired with another superstar of that time Salman Khan in Andaz Apna Apna, which has now gained a cult status and is an evergreen comedy film.

He changed his appearance to an action star with Baazi but was back again to what he does the best, romantic avatar with Akele Hum Akele Tum and Raja Hindustani. Raja Hindustani shattered every record there were. His pairing with Karishma was loved and Aamir was awarded Best actor Filmfare award for his role.

In 2001, came the height of his glorious career when his film Lagaan reached the top 5 films in Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscar. This was the time he decided to work on one film and one role at a time.

Dil Chahta Hai changed the perspective of the directors and viewers. Rang De Basanti in which Aamir played the role of DJ raised the question on our society and judicial system. It was the game changer.

Aamir turned Director with Taare Zameen Par and showed the problems of a dyslexic child. The film generated positive review from critics and the viewer.

He then came with a commercially successful movie Ghajini where he played the role of a person with short-term memory loss who is trying to revenge his lost love.

But the best was yet to come. At the age of 44, Aamir pushed his physique to fit in the role of a college boy for 3 Idiots and the film did wonders. 3 Idiots is still the highest grossing Bollywood movie ever. The film raised question on Indian education system.

On 6 May 2012, a TV show named Satyameva Jayate aired and Aamir Khan was the host of that show. The show depicted the problems of India whether it was female foeticide, child sexual abuse or dowry. Satyameva Jayate brought a big change in society and people, they became more aware, more responsible and more educated.

After this TV show, Aamir turned from just being a celebrity to a role model. He is a genius when it comes to the film by the way he works for every role from changing looks to changing physique.

To be true, at present there are very few who can act in Bollywood like Aamir does. He is a master. Aamir does not accept Bollywood awards (Filmfare, Zee Cine, Stardust, etc) and he does not like to attend the award ceremony either. He says, "Apart from the National Film Awards, I don't see any other award ceremony that I should give value to."

Currently he is working on the much-awaited movie Dhoom 3, the third installment of Dhoom series made under the banner of Yash Raj. This is the 2nd time Aamir is playing an antagonist, the first he did was in Fanna.
