Abhishek Kapoor's directed Kai Po Che, which received a standing ovation at Berlin Film Festival is now raking mullah at the box office as well. Kai Po Che has collected approx Rs 18.10 cr nett in its opening weekend and is still going strong.
Move critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted film's box office collection. Taran Adarsh tweeted, “The weekend business was terrific. KaiPoChe Collected approx Rs 18.10 cr nett in its opening weekend”.
Kai Po Che on Friday collected Rs 4.50 crore, on Saturday it collected Rs 6.25 crore, on Sunday it collected Rs 7.35 cr and on Monday it collected Rs 3.25 crore. He tweeted, "Breakup:- Fri 4.50 cr, Sat 6.25 cr, Sun 7.35 cr. Fantastic!"
Overseas collection of film has also been remarkable. Adarsh tweeted, "KaiPoChe Overseas *weekend total* is over $ 1 million [over Rs 5.40 crores]. Excellent!" Film received positive reviews from both critics and viewers.
Kai Po Che stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkumar Yadav, Amit Sadh, Amrita Puri, Manav Kaul and Asif Basra in lead roles.
