Mobile phone manufacturer BlackBerry on Monday launched its new smartphone Z10, powered by its newly developed operating system BlackBerry 10, in the Indian market, priced at Rs.43, 490.
Sunil Dutt, Managing Director for India at BlackBerry said, "With BlackBerry 10, we have re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented BlackBerry to create a new and unique mobile computing experience".
According to the company, the new smartphone is the first on the BlackBerry 10 platform, which offers faster and smoother usage experience. Blackberry Z10 comes with modern design and a gesture-based interface.

Blackberry Z10 has a support for 2G, 3G and 4G. It has a quad band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, quad band HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 and quad band LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2600 frequency support.
Blackberry Z10 sports a 4.2-inch capacitive touchscreen that displays 16M colors and has a resolution support of 768 x 1280 pixels. The display has 355 ppi pixel density.
Dimensions of this smartphone are 5.12 x 2.58 x 0.35 in and it weighs 137.5 g.
Blackberry Z10 operates on company's latest BlackBerry 10 Operating System. It generates its power from Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor, Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset and Adreno 225 GPU.
Blackberry Z10 is topped with an 8 Mega Pixel primary camera that can take pictures of resolution 3264 x 2448 pixels. Camera comes with auto-focus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, continuous auto-focus, image stabilization and face detection technology. It can record video at 1080p@30fps and has video stabilization.
It also boasts a 2 Mega Pixel front facing camera that can record video at 720p@30fps.
This smartphone has 16 GB of internal storage and 2 GB RAM.
Z10 comes along with Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n, dual band) and Bluetooth (v4.0 with A2DP, LE) technology.
Output ports include a micro SD card slot that can be used to expand memory up to 64 GB, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a micro USB v2.0 port.
Blackberry Z10 will be available in two colors in Indian market: Black and White
Blackberry Z10 runs on Li-Ion 1800 mAh battery that gives the phone a stand by time of up to 312 h and a talk time of up to 10 h.
