Delhi Cabinet has decided to recommend LG for summoning the Budget Session of the Assembly rom 13th March to 2 April, 2013. Cabinet has also recommend to work Government to make Delhi a slum free state at the earliest.
After the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit stated that cabinet has also decided to recommend LG for summoning the Budget Session of the Assembly from 13th March to 2nd April, 2013. There would be twelve sittings during the Session. Hon’ble LG would deliver his address on the 13th March, 2013.
She said to ensure the housing for the weaker sections putting up in the JJ clusters and to allot already constructed low cost flats, the Cabinet has given its approval to a simplified and liberal guidelines for relocation of JJ dwellers as recommended by the Group of Ministers constituted on 15th October, 2012.
It has also been decided that all JJ dwellers including on right of the way, road berns, footpath etc. would be relocated provided they fulfill other conditions. This would go a long way in reinforcing the efforts of City Government to make Delhi a slum free state at the earliest.
The GoM has recommended extended cut-off date from 31st March, 2007 to 4th June, 2009. The cluster may only be removed after receipt of land owning agency contribution.
The UID/EID of the beneficiary would be compulsory before handing over of physical possession. Hence forth, the new guidelines would supersede the earlier issued guidelines. Dikshit reiterated commitment of her government to improve the living standard of the families putting up in JJ clusters and slums.
