The national launch of the web portal of 'Student Manifesto' for Lok Sabha elections 2014 by Mr. Riteish Deshmukh and Ms. Genelia Deshmukh in Mumbai.
NSUI is inviting ideas and suggestions from students, academicians and general public to prepare a student manifesto which will be a part of the manifesto of the Congress party for 2014 Lok Sabha elections. For this purpose, NSUI has created a web portal to collect suggestions. In addition to this, NSUI will be going to educational institutions across the country.
Launching the portal, Mr Riteish Deshmukh said "Students should decide the fate of this country. Policy makers do not know all the problems faced by the students. It is high time students should participate in policy making. They should come out and get involved in Student Manifesto."
Mrs. Genelia Deshmukh congratulated NSUI and said "As students all of us have had problems. Student Manifesto is important. I congratulate and wish NSUI all the best.
At the event.Rohit Chaudhary, NSUI National President said "The Congress party has given the responsibility of it's manifesto for Lok Sabha 2014 to the citizens of this country. As Rahul ji promised, the policy making wont be limited to 10 people in a room. Every student is invited to give their ideas to reform the education system."
