Washington, December 15 (ANI): A new pair of running shoes have been designed to tell their wearers how to improve their technique, which could prevent injuries.
The running shoes, which are an effort by the RUNSAFER project, have a combination of sensor technology, wireless communications and smart-phone apps making them a sophisticated monitoring device that allows identifying problems with a runner's gait, Fox News reported.
The data gathered by the sensors enables the software to calculate the forces acting on the foot and provide a real-time feedback.
The shoe is expected to be available on store shelves within two years. (ANI)
