Delhi,Politics, Fri, 13 Dec 2013 IANS

New Delhi/Ghaziabad Dec 13 (IANS) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said Friday that it lacks the numbers to form a government in Delhi and this decision will be conveyed to Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung Saturday.

"Today (Friday), we discussed all possibilities. But, we have decided that we will not take or give support of anyone to form the government. We are ready for the re-election," party leader Yogendra Yadav told the media after AAP's political affairs committee meeting at party convener Arvind Kejriwal's house.

Earlier, Yadav said the AAP does not have majority support nor has it finished first.

He also said AAP founder leader Arvind Kejriwal would meet Jung Saturday in response to a formal invitation from the lt. governor regarding government formation in Delhi.

The party's newly elected legislator Manish Sisodia said Kejriwal would meet Jung around 10.30 a.m. Saturday.

On Friday, the Bharatiya Janata Party, which finished at the head of a fractured Delhi assembly with 31 seats, said it cannot form a government. The AAP came second with 28 seats.
