Bangalore, Dec. 9, (ANI): Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Karnataka Janata Paksha (KJP) chief B. S. Yeddyurappa on Monday said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has set an example by building up his party in a year.
Praising Arvind Kejriwal for the AAP's performance in Delhi, Yeddyurappa said: "Arvind Kejriwal built up his party in one year like anything. I told my party, in the workers meeting, to take his example."
He further added, "Right now, we have started building up the party and are working keeping in mind the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Karnataka people at present are angry with the Siddaramaiah Government. For the last six months, there has been no development in the state. The farmers are suffering like anything, and nobody has got any benefit. So, I have decided to start my statewide tour from December 20."
On his return to the BJP, he said: "I had a sent a letter to BJP leader L.K. Advani, and, so far there has been no reply from any BJP leader. I am not in touch with any other BJP leader, nor I have placed any conditions in front of the BJP leadership. I am waiting for the senior BJP leaders to open up and tell me what is on their minds. After this, we will take an appropriate decision."
Calling himself an admirer of Narendra Modi, he said: "I think the Modi factor was of one of the very important aspects in the recent victories of the BJP." (ANI)
