Srinagar, Nov.12 (ANI): The National Cadet Corps (NCC) inaugurated a motivational park here on Monday to encourage the youth of the state to join the NCC.
The park was inaugurated by Major General Neeraj Verma inside the NCC complex in Srinagar. He said the park will not only provide motivation to youths but also inform them about this precious wing of the country.
"Firstly apart from giving a little bit of face-lift to this entire headquarter of Srinagar, apart from giving a beautification drive, it also serves a very hidden agenda which is to provide inspiration and motivation to the youth," said Verma.
The park has 18 statues representing cadets of the Army, Air Force and Naval Wings of the NCC.
The cadets of NCC demand that such type of activities should continue in future as it helps them learn about the state of Jammu and Kashmir and with the help of these programs, a larger number of youths will come forward to join the NCC and make their future bright.
"This is the first time that a motivational park has been inaugurated in Jammu and Kashmir region and in the park there are many cadet statues placed which includes the statues of Naval force, Air Force and Army. Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh region cadets are invited for this event and we interact with all of them to get an understanding of their culture and this will give a boost to national integration," said NCC Cadet, Saleh Qadri.
Under the aegis of the NCC directorate J and K, NCC group headquarter Srinagar has been striving to integrate the youth of the three regions of the state and spread the message of communal peace and harmony.
Besides this it has also has been encouraging the state youth, both boys and girls, to join the NCC. It also encourages the NCC cadets of this region to whole heartedly participate in various state and national events organised by the NCC. (ANI)
