London, Nov 10 (ANI): Audi drivers Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen and Loic Duval have claimed the 2013 World Endurance Championships.
According to AutoSport.com, the final podium position was more than enough to give the trio an unassailable lead in the championship with one round left to run in Shanghai, despite victory for teammates Andre Lotterer, Benoit Treluyer and Marcel Fassler.
McNish said that he felt massively proud of what they have accomplished this year, adding that they came out of the blocks fighting in the Silverstone opening race and went on to also win at Le Mans and in Texas.
He added that they had driven a conservative race that day, but he is out to finish the season off in style in Bahrain at the end of the month. (ANI)
