Sydney, Nov 4 (ANI): Arizona Diamondbacks slugger Paul Goldschmidt took part in a series of hitting challenges with Sydney Sixers cricketers at the SCG to promote their historic series with the Los Angeles Dodgers, which will open the MLB season at the same ground in March.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, while there are bigger names with bigger pay packets in MLB currently, none is better performed.
The 26-year-old has just claimed the Hank Aaron Award for the best offensive player in the MLB, adding to the Golden Glove award he received as the best defensive player, the report said.
It makes him one of the favourites to take out the most prestigious gong of the lot, the MLB's coveted Most Valuable Player, the report added. (ANI)
