Greater Noida, Oct 31 (IANS) Delhi golfer Vani Kapoor won her second title on the trot in the final calendar event of the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour 2013. Vani returned with a final score of 214 (68; 73; 73) after 54 holes to walk away with the winner's cheque.
Hero MotoCorp-sponsored Bangalorean golfer Sharmila Nicollet shot a hole-in-one on the eighth hole to finish the event as the runner's up trailing Vani by four shots. The Rs.5,00,000 event is being played at the Jaypee Greens golf course here.
Kolkata golfer Neha Tripathi, inspite of carding the day's best round of three under 69, finished third with a total of 222 (78; 75; 69) after 54 holes.
Chandigarh's Saaniya Sharma (72; 81; 76) and Bangalore's Rani Sonti (75; 78; 76) were tied for the fourth place with identical scores of 229 after 54 holes. Rookie Pune golfer Shweta Galande (78; 81; 79) and Chandigarh's Preetinder Kaur (81; 77; 80) finished tied sixth with identical scores of 238.
The Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour 2013 comprises a total of fourteen legs spanning across locations in India.
