Washington, Oct 27 (ANI): Bayern Munich has maintained their unbeaten record on top of German league Bundesliga with a 3-2 win over Hertha Berlin at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

Bayern held on and maintained a one-point advantage at the top of the table over Borussia Dortmund who recorded a 3-1 win away to Schalke.

According to CNN, although Pep Guardiola's side had a difficult start to the match following an early goal by Hertha's Adrian Ramos in the fourth minute and injuries to their players Tim Kroos and Arjen Robben, however, Mario Mandzukic and Mario Gotze changed the course of the match with their respective goals for Bayern.

Mandzukic equalized in the 29th minute before adding a second headed goal six minutes into the second half, while Gotze's first Bundesliga goal for Bayern doubled their lead in the 54th minute only for Anis Ben-Hatira to pull one back for Hertha four minutes later thus ensuring a tense final quarter of the match

Meanwhile, third-place Bayer Leverkusen kept pace with Dortmund after beating Augsburg 2-1 while Wolfsburg moved up to fifth and level on 15 points with Hertha following a 3-0 win against Werder Bremen, the report added. (ANI)
