Tokyo, Oct.22 (ANI): Japanese companies are seeking alternative ways of cultivation and using modern technologies to produce safe and secure agricultural products that have no adulteration.
Rice has been the staple food of Japan, and in order to create better quality rice; farmers have continued to innovate untiringly. It may be said the history of rice is also the history of the evolution of the crop and its production technology.
Shinmei Seimai, which is based in Hiroshima and Daiwa House are leaders in providing safe and secure food.
The Shinmei Seimai plant produces 100 tonnes of rice every day, processing it by using polishing machines. And, at the same time, maintaining the high quality of rice products.
Mitsuhito Fujio, President, Shinmei Co.,Ltd: "We follow FSSC international Standard, which to be speaking plainly, it is the measurement to create mechanisms to produce absolute no adulteration ... Our plant is cleared all the requirements. For example, before we enter the plant, we limit the goods to be carried in. Also, we monitor the machinery by position, constant and quantitative management."
This is the machine that sorts and separates rice from impure materials and discolored grains using an image sensor. This is the separated impure rice grain. Most of the process is mechanically operated, by the control of this touch screen.
Fujio further said:"Speaking of quality, Japanese rice is one of the best in terms of quality in the world. We aim not only for the domestic, but also for overseas markets. So far, There is a policy of reducing acreage under cultivation in Japan in order to maintain the stock price of rice in the market. We are aiming to promote Japanese quality rice for overseas export, and at the same time, we have to fix the supply-demand balance. This year, we established our branch office in America, and we are looking to trade American Rice. We have not seen the situation clearly as yet, but in the future, we will collect and gather rice from all over the world, and distribute it to the world. We are aiming to be a general trading company for rice."
Japanese housing manufacture company Daiwa House has created a complete indoor green house called "agri-cube" to meet the demand for safe and secure food. It is using its house building technology for this purpose.
Mamoru Yoshimura of the Daiwa House Industry Central Research Laboratory said: "Daiwa House Industry started business in 1955. We started our housing business in factory manufacturing. Since then, we are supporting the housing industry in Japan. In the same factory, we are developing this "agri-cube", a vegetable cultivation house. Our technology has been fully implemented in safe and secure vegetable cultivation. This "agri-cube" was sold to restaurants, retirement homes, nursing facilities and schools in Japan."
Keiko Miyagaki of Daiwa House Industry Central Research Laboratory said: "Agri-cube" creates a independent atmosphere, using insulation to separate the environment from outside. It creates the environment that is suitable for cultivation, using air-conditioners and fluorescent lights. There is no soil used inside, it is a hydroponic culture, vegetables are growing on aqueous solution water with a nutrient element."
The "agri cube" technology developed by Daiwa House has generated considerable buzz in other countries about its use.
Yoshimura added:"We have a request from Ho Chi Minh that how it is possible to grow safe, secure and sweet delicious strawberries with this technology. We are also preparing to export to Singapore, where they will cultivate vegetables in a restaurant building as "urban agriculture."
"Each country has different foods and vegetables, this "agri-cube" can grow various vegetables. We can also customize orders and export. We are developing our product to meet any requirements."
Japanese companies are focused on carrying out exceptional research to pioneer a new era by providing food free from adulteration. (ANI)
