New online game lets player sees 'Facebook life' flash before eyes after crash

Wellington, Sun, 13 Oct 2013 ANI

Wellington, Oct. 13 (ANI): An online game is being hailed for its inevitable end scene in which boy racers see their lives flash before their eyes when they crash.

Unlike other online car racing games, there is no starting over in Flash, an interactive advert created for the New Zealand Transport Agency.

According to stuff.co.nz, the creators of the game channelled blockbusters such as Gran Turismo and Need For Speed to entice young petrolheads.

But in a twist to the game, players log-in with their Facebook profiles.

When the racer crashes, images of friends and family scroll across the screen as you experience a digital version of your life flashing before your eyes.

The game was created as part of NZTA's annual 3.5 million dollars speed reduction campaign.

It has attracted more than 125,000 visitors and pulled a number of international awards. (ANI)
