Late strikes dent NZ's advantage on first day of first Test against Bangladesh

Chittagong, Oct 9 (ANI): New Zealand has ended the first day of the first Test against Bangladesh being played in Chittagong in a tricky position at 280/5.

Kane Williamson scored an impressive century before Shakib Al Hasan got him out leg before wicket.

Slow left-arm orthodox bowler Abdur Razzak took the wicket of captain Brendon McCullum just before the end of the day's play.

Peter Fulton also impressed with a knock of 73 runs off 198 balls including seven boundaries and one six.

The visitors won the toss and chose to bat first.

Abdur Razzak took two wickets while Sohag Gazi, Shakib Al Hasan and Nasir Hossain all took one wicket each for the hosts. (ANI)
