New York, Sept 29 (ANI): BlackBerry users may soon need to get used to touch screens and move away from the easy method of typing on its once popular physical keyboard if the company exits the handset business following disastrous financial results.
BlackBerry announced a quarterly loss of nearly one billion dollars on Friday, heightening expectations that it would put less focus on handsets, the New York Times reports
The report mentioned that most smartphone users are switching to touch-screen models, like the iPhone, with virtual keyboards that appear on a glass screen, leaving little alternatives for a minority still committed to BlackBerry phones with its keyboard.
According to experts, people should now get used to interacting with phones through touch screens as BlackBerry is now expected to focus its low resources on software and services for corporations, adding that nowadays most phones with buttons are inexpensive models aimed at teenagers. (ANI)
