Washington, Sept 28 (ANI): Two American women basketball players were reportedly issued personal fouls during a match after one of them kissed the other on the cheek following a heated altercation between them.
Diana Taurasi from women's side Phoenix Mercury surprised players, match officials and fans alike when she kissed Seimone Augustus from rival side Minnesota Lynx during a Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) game.
According to the Huffington Post, the kiss came as a surprise as both Taurasi and Augustus, who were teammates on the US women's national team, were on the point of coming to blows and were having heated words given that Mercury was being routed by Lynx in the opening game of the WNBA Western Conference Finals.
Following the kiss, both Taurasi and Augustus were issued personal fouls on the play.
Following her team's 85-62 win, Augustus called the entire issue a 'tango dance' and joked that Taurasi wanted some of her 'deliciousness', while Taurasi also quipped that she was just trying to make 'sweet love'. (ANI)
