Samba, Sep 26 (ANI): Security forces have reportedly gunned down three militants who had entered the army cantonment in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba District and killed two army personnel, including a Lt. Colonel of Indian Army, this morning.
Times Now TV channel quoted army sources as saying that the three militants have been killed.
The Indian Army had earlier moved in Special Forces to eliminate the remaining terrorists.
In Jammu and Kashmir, eight people including a Lt. Colonel of Indian army were killed in two terror attacks in Kathua and Samba districts today.
In the first incident, heavily-armed militants dressed in army fatigues attacked Hiranagar police station in Kathua around 6.45 a.m., killing 6 people. They include four policemen and two civilians.
The same group of militants' later targetted an army camp in nearby Samba, killing two army men including a Lt. Colonel. One injured army personnel has been admitted to hospital.
A massive search operation has been launched in the entire area along the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway. (ANI)
