Sydney, Sept. 20 (ANI): A Brazilian court has reportedly ordered Facebook to pay around 2,000 dollars in fine for not removing a fake profile of a user who had asked that it be removed.
The social media giant has been ordered to compensate for the moral damage of the particular user.
According to news.com.au, Facebook can appeal the ruling at the Superior Court of Justice, Brazil's top appeals court.
The report said that Facebook claims that it can't monitor or exercise preventive control over millions of postings, as it would amount to censorship which is illegal in Brazil. (ANI)
