The trial run, a mandatory requirement for the commissioning of any Metro corridor, was started between the Mansarovar and the Shyam Nagar stations of the 9.25 kilometre long Mansarovar - Chandpole corridor.

The other Metro corridor will be a 23 kilometre long stretch aligned along the North- South direction from Durgapura to Ambabari under Jaipur Metro Phase-2.

The Metro corridor is being built on standard gauge. DMRC is executing the project under "Deposit Work" basis and will also be involved in Operation and Maintenance in the initial one year.

The Jaipur Metro project is DMRC's first Metro construction project outside the National Capital Region. Currently, DMRC is also executing the Kochi Metro project on deposit terms, which will be a 25.253 kilometre long corridor from Aluva to Petta.

DMRC has acted as consultant for almost all other Metro projects being planned or executed in the country including Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Pune, Lucknow etc. (ANI)
