London, Sept 18 (ANI): Former England captain Michael Vaughan, retired tennis star Tim Henman, footballer-turned TV expert Jamie Redknapp and a host of other celebrities have reportedly completed a 462-mile charity bicycle ride from Southampton to London.

Vaughan was joined on the final 70-mile stage from Southampton to The Kia Oval by other celebrity fundraisers including Henman and Redknapp to raise money for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and the Cricket Foundation's Chance to Shine initiative.

According to Metro.co.uk, Vaughan and his co-riders had followed the NatWest One Day International series between England and Australia, travelling to each of the cricket venues before reaching its conclusion in London.

Joking that he does not want to see a saddle for a long time, Vaughan, who guided England to Ashes victory in 2005, said that they are raising a lot of money for two great causes, adding that the bike ride is worth it as many children will get the opportunity to play due to the funds that they have raised.

Vaughan was also joined by his former England teammate Andrew Strauss and former English track cyclist Victoria Pendleton, the report added. (ANI)
