Melbourne, Sept. 13 (ANI): NASA has revealed that it is planning to capture an asteroid and tow it back to the moon for study.
The space agency has chosen three prime contenders for their experiment.
NASA's plan to lasso a 7m space rock started with an examination of 14 near-Earth asteroids that could be dragged into Moon's orbit with minimum effort, News.com.au reported.
And when the space rock is placed in a stable orbit around the Moon, astronauts will use Orion space capsule to go close to it for gathering samples and take detailed readings. (ANI)
