Melbourne, Sept 11 (ANI): A new trend named as 'vocal fry' or 'creaking' is reportedly become common among young female women.
'Vocal fry' occurs when a woman lowers her voice so much that you can hear each individual vibration of the vocal folds.
According to professor Andrew Butcher from Flinders University, earlier the breathy voice that was thought to be attractive in a woman, but now it seems to be the opposite, News.com.au reported.
Butcher said that he is not sure if it's a question of wanting to sound more authoritative, more masculine or more attractive. (ANI)
