Islamabad , Fri, 06 Sep 2013 ANI

Islamabad, Sept. 6 (ANI): A recent Pew Research Centre study has revealed that four in ten young Internet users are more likely to post their comments anonymously.

A poll showed 40 percent of people between 18 to 29 years of age posted comments on Internet without revealing their names, while only 18 percent of the adult Internet users did so, the Express Tribune reports.

The percentage of respondents trying to mask their identity and using fake and untraceable usernames was found to be same.

According to the report, 36 percent of the respondents said they did not use websites that asked for their real name.

At the same time, 59 percent of the people believe that it is not possible to be completely anonymous on the internet, the report added.

However, the study revealed that people who posted anonymously were likely to have more of their personal information on the Internet. (ANI)
