Beijing, Aug 23 (ANI): Boxing great Mike Tyson will make his promotional debut on Friday night at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York, fronting the IBF super featherweight title clash between an Argentine and a Canadian boxer.
According to The China Daily, champion Argenis Mendez of Argentina and Canadian challenger Arash Usmanee will clash together in a fight , which will mark Tyson recasting himself as a promoter and ranconteur.
Tyson apologized for his fractured pronunciation of some of the fighter's names and expressed that he was proud to have Mendez in his stable.
After paying attention to the fighters gush with gratitude for the opportunity to appear on ESPN's Friday Night Fights and the inaugural show for Iron Mike Productions, Tyson gently chided them for being so, 'unTyson-like'.
He said that nobody talked about hurting anybody any more, and it seems like they were going to dance, and not fight, totally different from how it was back in his own days. (ANI)
