New Delhi, Aug 20 (IANS) Delhi Police Tuesday sought from a city court 10 days' police custody of Abdul Karim Tunda, an alleged LeT terrorist arrested near the India-Nepal border.

Metropolitan Magistrate Jay Thareja, before whom Tunda was presented, ordered in-camera proceedings of the case Tuesday after an advocate created ruckus inside the court room.

Brought in the court under heavy security by the Delhi Police, Tunda was slapped by Hindu Sena President Vishnu Gupta inside the court premises.

Tunda, the Delhi-born, one-handed extremist was in the list of top 20 terrorists wanted by India. He is allegedly involved in around 40 bombings in the country.

An aide of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim and an operative of Lashkar-e-Taiba, he was also wanted for suspected involvement in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.

Tunda was arrested Friday in Uttarakhand's Banbasa area close to the Nepal border when he was trying to enter India.
