London, August 17 (ANI): Carol Vorderman, who yearned to be a pilot when she was growing up in North Wales, has got a new plane, a Diamond DA40 single engine craft with four seats, and is all set to take her very first solo flight.
The TV presenter has bought the plane with her new partner Graham "Duffy" Duff, a dashingly handsome former Red Arrows squadron leader 14 years her junior, the Mirror reported.
Vorderman told the publication that Duff flies the plane because she has not got her pilot's licence yet.
Talking about her flying ambition, the 52-year-old said that though she is nervous about her first flight, she is quite confident that nothing will go wrong.
With daughter Katie, 21, at university and her 16-year-old son Cameron getting ready to do A-levels, Vorderman, who has decided to revisit her first love, will cut down her appearances on ITV's 'Loose Women' to allow her enough flight time before her round-the-world solo adventure next year. (ANI)
