London, Aug 14 (ANI): Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray has said that he used to feel a bit like a loser until he got his first Grand Slam at last year's US Open, and believes his experiences of last year would help him cope with the pressures of defending his title at the Flushing Meadows.
According to The Independent, Murray expressed that the last year had almost changed his perception of himself and when someone lost big matches, even after being successful in other tournaments, one was asked on why the big matches were being lost, adding that it made him feel like a loser.
The Scot said that the situation, however, had changed in the last year or so and he now had a bit more confidence in himself which would help him in matches.
Murray said that after winning at Wimbledon, every time he turned on the television, he felt he was watching a movie and only when he got back to training, did the feeling of winning actually sink in. (ANI)
