Washington, August 6 (ANI): Oprah Winfrey has made her first public comment on the Trayvon Martin case equating the killing of Martin to that of Emmett Till, the young black boy whose brutal murder helped fuel the civil rights movement.
Oprah told The Grio's Chris Witherspoon that the Trayvon Martin case has parallels with the Emmett Till one, Huffingston Post reported.
In a previous interview with Diane Sawyer, Winfrey said her new movie, 'The Butler' would offer an answer to white people as to why African Americans were so outraged about Martin's death.
The Trayvon Martin case has African Americans and whites sharply divided about whether George Zimmerman's acquittal was just. (ANI)
