Patna, Aug 4 (IANS) Maoists badly damaged a newly built building which was to become a police station in Bihar's Aurangabad district early Sunday to protest the killing of two of their leaders by a rival outfit.
More than 200 Maoists, mostly armed, surrounded the building, about 150 km away, fired indiscriminately and set off cylinder bombs that damaged the building. Police later recovered a live bomb from the site.
According to police officials, the police station at Khudwa was to shift to the new building. No one was injured in the attack.
A strike called by Maoists to denounce the killing of the two leaders did not hit life in urban Bihar but dislocated life in some villages.
