K0olkata, Aug 4 (IANS) A medley of songs spanning folk, rock and fusion belted out by famed Bangla rock band Krosswindz will flag-off director-actor Farhan Akhtar's live music concert here Sunday.

Known for its jazz leanings, the quartet will strum popular numbers from its latest album "Phire Dekha" and cult songs like "Jhiko Jhiko" and "Prithibi" from its earlier albums while opening the high-octane musical evening.

"We will also perform some English numbers like 'We will rock you' etc. Basically, it will be a medley of new and old songs," Vikramjit 'Tuki' Banerjee, lead guitarist of Krosswindz, told IANS.

"It's not confirmed yet whether we will sing with Farhan or not," said Banerjee.

Farhan, much loved for his husky voice, will enthrall audiences at the Netaji Indoor Stadium here with his chart-topping hits and signature tenor.

Basking in the success of his recent film "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", the multifaceted Farhan will belt out popular numbers from his films like "Rock On!!", and "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD)", among others.

"Rock On!!" in 2008 saw Farhan lend his voice to hits like "Socha hai", and the title track "Rock On".

In 2011, Farhan proved his mettle as a singer in soft, acoustic tracks like "Senorita" and "Toh Zinda Ho Tum".
