SRK-Gauri win 'best friends in marriage' poll

New Delhi, Aug 2 (IANS) Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan have been voted the best couple who enjoy great friendship in a poll conducted by a matrimonial site.

On the occasion of Friendship Day, which is on Aug 4, Shaadi.com conducted an online poll to find out which Bollywood relationships are also great friends and Shah Rukh-Gauri won with 45.3 percent of votes.

The couple got married in 1991 and have three children - Aryan, Suhana and AbRam Khan.

Dhak-dhak girl Madhuri Dixit and husband Sriram Nene followed Shah Rukh-Gauri on the second position with 32.3 percent votes.

The third place was taken by actor-director Farhan Akhtar and his wife Adhuna with 22.5 percent votes.

"The poll showcases the value of friendship in relationships, which we strongly believe in. These are some of the most successful Bollywood relationships whose love and understanding for each other also makes them good friends," Gourav Rakshit, COO, Shaadi.com said in a statement.

"The results suggest that people are looking at celebrities as real people with real relationships," he added

Meanwhile, actor Ranbir Kapoor and his mother Neetu Kapoor scored highest in the category of best friends in mother-son relationship with 63.7 percent votes.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha and her actor-politican father Shatrughan Sinha won the poll in the father-daughter relationship, with 38.9 percent votes.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek got 53.8 percent votes in the best friends in father-son relationship.

The best friends in sibling category saw trio of Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan win the poll with 69.6 percent, followed by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor with 38.4 percent votes.
