London, July 31 (ANI): An Italian man, who has been a fan of Coca-Cola since he was a teenager, has gathered more than 10,000 cans of the beverage with some over 50 years old.
39-year-old Davide Andreani, from Pesaro, Italy, was just 15 when he got obsessed with collecting remembrance and special edition cans from nearly every country in the world, except from Cuba and North Korea who don't sell the drink, the Sun reported.
Andreani said that his father would come back from a European business trip and give him the small 150ml cans from the aeroplane or cans with special designs that his father had picked up in foreign cities.
Andreani's oldest can is a 1959 flat top 'diamond' can, which was named after its design.
He has cans from Namibia and Nicaragua, in addition to a Ghostbuster's can from Puerto Rico.
He has also collected special edition employee cans that are made by factories in Italy for their staff.
Andreani, whose collection also includes gold cans that mark special anniversaries or plant openings, asserted that in the can world, the rarest gold tins could fetch between 400 dollars and 500 dollars. (ANI)
