Mumbai, July 30 (ANI): Oscar winning music composer A.R. Rahman will undertake a concert tour of four Indian cities after almost two decades.
Acknowledging that the love of the audience has always motivated him, Rahman said he always wanted to go to those cities that had been left unexplored for concerts.
"I think I always wanted to go to the cities where we never think of. We always think of Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad, but we never think about Vizag or you know Ahmedabad. So, the whole idea was to go to those loving fans who always support me," said Rahman.
The name of his concert is called 'Rahmanishq.'
The tour will cover Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.
"I think when you play for a concert you get 10000 or 40000 of them, and then, you are so overwhelmed, you are lucky sometimes. I think that's what keeps me going and that's the love which makes me do more and more music," he added.
In the concert, he will be featuring some of the most popular songs from his super hit movies like Jodhaa Akbar, Slumdog Millionaire, Rockstar, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and some older gems like Dil Se and Bombay and also from his music albums like repertoire.
Some of the other famous Indian celebrities from the music industry like Javed Ali, Neeti Mohan, Shweta Pandit, and Harshdeep Kaur will also accompany Rahman during his tour. (ANI)
