London, July 28 (ANI): Microsoft search engine Bing has initiated a new 'pop-up' warning which will prompt UK users when they search for illegal child abuse images, and will tell them that the content is against the law, along with providing a link for a counseling service.

According to the Mirror, it will be triggered by search terms on a list provided by the The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP).

Prime Minister David Cameron this week threatened to impose tough new laws on internet giants if they fail to blacklist key search terms for horrific images by October as part a crackdown on online porn, the report said.

The Bing Notification Platform will be activated if someone tries to search the sensitive terms, the report added.

Microsoft already has a policy of removing links to illegal content as soon as possible, the report further said. (ANI)
