New York, June 17 (ANI): Former managing editor of Playgirl, Jessanne Collins, recalled how on her first day as the editor she found a blowup-doll occupying her chair, in her new ebook "How to Be a Playgirl."
The 33-year-old also admitted that since a very early age she wanted to work in magazines, The New York Daily News reported.
Collins herself never dreamt of entering the pornography world. She confesses that the first reaction of most people is - disbelief.
In her second week she started sending out emails to her friends to share all the crazy stories of what had happened that week - she called it Porn World Weekly.
The letter section was full of requests asking the magazine to either stop featuring hairless, sculpted male models or include more rugged-looking guys, or the opposite. A lot of men sent in full- frontal, often themed snapshots of themselves to be included in the "Real Men" section.
Collins said that they wanted to make Playgirl a magazine for women who wanted to look at porn and also wanted to be informed about sexual health and sexual politics. (ANI)
