London, June 11(ANI): Renowned theatre director, Fiona Laird has claimed that Rory Kinnear's agent has not received a single call to replace Matt Smith in 'Doctor Who'.
Laird, who has also directed on TV for Channel 4 and Sky, tweeted yesterday that she had it on the "highest" authority that the Skyfall star's agent, has not been contacted for the role of the famous doctor, the Mirror reported.
Kinnear's agent, however, declined to comment on Laird's tweet.
A BBC Drama spokesperson also revealed that the search for Smith's replacement is at a very early stage and no decision would be taken in a hurry.
She also insisted that the search for the big role has just begun and asked to believe only what they say. (ANI)
