Panaji, June 7 (IANS) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Friday condoled the death of Finance Minister P. Chidambaram's mother.
"Sad to know about the demise of Shri P. Chidambaram's mother, Smt. Lakshmi Palaniappan. My condolences to the family. May her soul rest in peace," Modi said on microblogging site Twitter Friday.
Chidambaram's 92-year-old mother Lakshmi Palaniappan died in Chennai Friday after a brief illness.
