Johannesburg, June 1 (ANI): According to a survey, Muslims who use the Internet outside US have a more favourable opinion of the Western culture than those who do not go online.
The Pew Research Centre found that 25 countries with Muslims using Internet have user inclination towards Western movies, music, and television, reported News 24.
According to the report, the survey found that Muslim Internet users tend to be younger and better educated than those who do not use the Internet, adding that Muslims using Internet outside US are less inclined to say that Western entertainment is harming morality in their country.
Countries like Kyrgyzstan, Senegal, Russia and Indonesia, have Internet users, which are at least 30 percent more likely to have a positive view of Western entertainment.
The report further added that Internet usage did not make any difference in Muslims' interpretation of their faith and some users were somewhat more likely to see commonality between Islam and Christianity. (ANI)
