Washington, May 25 (ANI): Carrie Underwood announced a 1 million-dollar donation to the Red Cross, from her 'Blown Away' tour's concert revenue, on Thursday.
Oklahoma was recently hit by a deadly tornado that killed 24 people and injured 240.
Underwood said in a statement: "I have watched the devastation in my home state of Oklahoma over the past several days with great sadness," People magazine reported.
"With the help of my fans who attended my concerts over the past year, we can offer the Red Cross a little extra help in comforting those affected by the recent tornados," she said.
Other stars, who made similar contributions to the Red Cross relief efforts, include Kevin Durant, Blake Shelton and Toby Keith.
Durant's team will be donating another 1 million dollars.
According to Oklahoman, Shelton announced a benefit concert to air live on NBC, where he serves as a coach on 'The Voice'.
Meanwhile, Keith is considering a fundraising concert. (ANI)
