Another hot day in Delhi, no respite Sunday

New Delhi, May 18 (IANS) The hot, sunny weather continued in the national capital Saturday as the maximum temperature settled four notches above average at 43.2 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is in store Sunday, the Met office said.

According to an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Sunday will see sunny skies and high temperature in the afternoon.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 43 and 26 degrees Celsius.

Saturday's minimum temperature was a notch below average at 24.8 degrees Celsius while the maximum humidity was 67 percent.

Residents of the city had witnessed similar weather conditions Friday as well. The maximum temperature had settled three notches above the season's average at 42.2 degrees Celsius, while minimum was 26 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.
