Imphal, May 17 (ANI): A two-day EduFest 2013 at the GP Women's College in Imphal attracted a large number of students and parents seeking career guidance.
Organised by the Lynchpin Group, it was attended by about 40 reputed colleges from across the country.
Major institutions like Sharda University and Amity University set up stalls to assist students in choosing the right academic courses, including MBBS, MBA, Engineering, and MCA.
Programme coordinator Chanam Sarat Singh said: "The objective is to provide a common platform to the science lovers-students, teachers and scientists-for the cause of science popularization activities in the state."
A participant, Prajumna Arambam, said: "Many students and teachers have come here and I gained lots of knowledge from them. Some of the lectures were very helpful in the field of science. I also came to know of many things going on in Manipur. Some people brought there own ideas which will be good for the state."
The youth are a major force, whose, energy needs to be channelised properly for the development of the region.
Opportunities like these provide a platform to the students to assess their interest and opt for the right career. (ANI)
